FAQ - HMI

Most frequent questions and answers

HMI stands for Human-Machine-Interface. It is used for replacing the button and LED display on old age equipment and turn them into fancy look, modern style with LCD display and Resistance/Capacitance touch function.

The HMI LCD module supported with UART interface which is most common interface used by aged and modern equipment. Use our UI Edit Software can easily design the display image and button function on LCD, and simulate it on the UI Edit Software on PC. Once you satisfy your design, just simply upload the project from UI Edit Software to LCD module.

UART transfer speed can be set from 2400 bps to 115200 bps, for various application.

User can use UI Edit Software to generate any font type which is supported on PC. The font size is adjustable by selecting the font-size option in UI Edit Software.

Touch type of LCD module is supported. User can use Button Widget combine with Event code to send specific string through UART to host when button area is touched.

The Event is generated when button area which is set by user on LCD module is pressed. It can be Press Event and Release Event. User can use C-Like code to program the behavior of Event to behave as what user wants. We provide the sample code for designer to write the program more easily.

RS232 and RS485 are simply add the related driver components on UART circuitry. We can provide the customize LCD module, or provide the adapter for you to use.

FAQ - Smart Meter

Most frequent questions and answers

Our smart meter can be installed in the wall to replace the regular socket. It equips the Wired (Ethernet), or Wireless (WiFi/Bluetooth) interface to connect to host through internet. It turns every socket as a smart meter and control the AC power individually.

This smart meter can measure the usage of power, both KWh, and Watt, AC Voltage, Current, and can be turned on and off by server remotely. Hence it is suitable for application who wants to control the power of appliance/equipment by server automatically by knowing the power consumption status.

In some location where the WiFi signal is not strong enough, or simply no WiFi signal. And for some application needs the stable connection in order to control the power in time. That is the case we suggest to use wired smart meter.

For Wired (Ethernet) version, only support the http. For WiFi version, it supports both http and https.

The smart meter needs to connect to a DHCP supported router, connect to default DNS for  searching customer address of server, and report the data to that server each 5 seconds. User can send the command through UART port on smart meter to change the destination address. For those who required the fixed IP address, please contact us for more detail information.
